Tasmania               

This island represents a  state, located roughly 100 miles south of the eastern side of the continent, being separated from it by Bass Strait.

The island has a population of 1/2 million on 26,383 square miles.

Tasmania promotes itself as the Natural State presenting a large, and relatively unspoiled, natural environment. 40% of Tasmania is formally in reserves, National Parks and World Heritage Sites.
