Nukubati Island is in a remote part of Fiji that has hardly been touched by the 20th century, let alone the 21st.
The region is genuinely pristine. This is one of the few parts of the world that does not have electricity, piped water or other services that are called “essential” in the western world.
However in an eco-friendly way, these services are not denied.
Electrical power is generated by solar panels and wind, fresh water is collected rainwater, filtered and UV
treated, hot water is produced from ten solar water heaters and sewage is tertiary treated using natural bio-cycle systems with the refreshed waste water being used on
the gardens.
Nukubati grows its own organic vegetables and fruits, using tropical
perma culture techniques. |

The rooms are louvered, light and airy, with ceiling fans and are decorated in a style

dining
Seafood is the specialty, freshly caught off the resort, with tropical fruits and vegetables from our own gardens. Cooking style is Fijian, featuring traditional South Pacific
recipes using all local ingredients, herbs and spices. However individual dietary requirements, such as vegetarian or no seafood meals are catered for.
All meals, morning and afternoon teas, and beverages (including wines and other alcoholic drinks) are complimentary. Meals can be taken in the Pavilion, on the beach, in your room or at any other romantic spot on the island you wish. Meal times are flexible.
Nukubati has an extensive wine cellar stocking premium Australian, New Zealand and French wines and champagnes. There are two bars, one in the Pavilion and the other on the front lawn, and a bar service to all parts of the island!
