Amenities included:  Rooms feature ground-floor verandas or second-floor balconies with teak lounge chairs and cocktail tables. They contain kitchenettes with two-burner range tops, microwave ovens, compact refrigerators, toasters, coffeemakers, dishes, and glasses. Feature Cable/satellite TV. Ceiling fans offer a cooling alternative to rooms' air conditioning. Telephones include data ports for dial-up Internet access. Molasses-colored furniture with blond highlights combines raffia and wicker for a colonial-tropical look. Rocking chairs supply relaxation, and terra-cotta-tile floors furnish bare-foot ease.

RESTAURANT AND BAR:

Café Alamanda - Casual, open-air restaurant and bar, with seating under awning and under thatched-roof poolside gazebo. Breakfast, dinner served daily. Lunch offered during winter season. French and Caribbean cuisine, with dinner choices such as fish soup, onion soup, tuna tartare, escargots, chicken with ginger cream sauce, rib-eye steak, salmon with tagliatelle, and scallops with rum-ginger Creole sauce.

Kakao Beach, your beach front restaurant, can propose to you grilled items, Creole and European specialties as well as seafood in a charming, Caribbean atmosphere. Kakao Beach also offers guests of Alamanda complimentary chaise lounges and umbrellas right on the beach. Four other restaurants along Orient Beach are also available: Bikini, Kontiki, Coco Beach, and Waikiki, each with a different theme and menu
